Nimal Shantha

Nimal Shantha was the most loving Husband and Father anyone could have asked for.

Nimal Shantha, 50, from Seeduwa, was the Manager at the Taprobane restaurant at Cinnamon Grand. Sought after by both local and international guests, his cheerful personality and fatherly guidance made him a well-loved manager among the younger staff at the restaurant. Below is a video of his daughters Malka and Sithmi singing a tribute for their beloved father.

– This Tribute for Nimal whose precious life we lost at the Easter Attack was created by his daughters Malka and Sithmi.

We at The Easter Attack Survivors Project thank Nimal’s beautiful family for their friendship, hospitality and for sharing this moving tribute with us.

Are you a Survivor?

We have identified two broad categories of Survivors:

1. Primary Survivors – those who were present at the attack or lost loved one/s, and

2. Secondary Survivors – those who were indirectly affected by the attack (e.g. your business suffered, you were subject to racism/discrimination etc., or any other way in which this attack affected you.)

Whichever category you belong to, we are looking for your story.
By sending in your submission, you will also be helping other survivors in this community.
